what all is done to bottom end. Is it all stock or has it been rebuilt and balanced.

On mine I rev it to 8500 daily. My botton end consists of Arias Pistons, Eagle Rods, Stock Crank, OEM honda bearings, Vtec oil and water pumps.

as long as the bottom end is built corectly and balanced the head is the limiting factor.

My N/A lsvtec went to 9300 all day no problems

Shotpeened LS rods
ARP rod bolts
ITR outer valve springs/Portlfow inner
Portlfow ti-retainers
Balanced LS crank

No girdle, no oil squirters

my boy bought the ferrea valve springs, retainers and *spring seats*. the kit says that it's necessary to have the spring seats if your using their S & R's.

two weeks after dyno tuning my boy broke a valve spring causing one of his JUN cams to break. luckly, nothing else broke. two weeks after re-building another spring broke and he dropped a valve. his motor was ruined. Fordged pistons, cams and a perfectly good GSR block was ruined. we spoke to the people at ferrea and they were no help at all.

we spoke to tech's at Ferrea before he bought the valvetrain kit becuz we wanted to be certain that there would be no problems with the JUN cams.

btw, the car was raced 2-3 time with a moderate rev limit of 8,600rpm and he was cruising on the hwy every time the valvetrain broke.

i'm posting this so that you can be causious.
