Default How high can i go???

I know this is a very bland and broad question....although i know alot of people on here have blown engines. How far do you think i can go with my setup, that is how many LBS???

Eagle H Beam Rods
JE 9.5:1 pistons
TDO5H-14B turbo
1G DSM IC

I'm running 8lbs right now (via the stock wastegate)
15 BTDC timing
AFC Hack(dsm intank fuel pump)

People say that by putting a MBC on your car it reduces spool time????

Get a different turbo your almost out of the efficiency range of that one (which is about 10lbs.), and you can go a lot higher. Is your block sleeved?

you need
a bigger turbo
440cc+ injectors
boost controller

......and the sky is the limit. you may crack a sleeve! but just keep the a/f ratio good and listen for detonation and you will probably be good to about 1.4 bar(20.58psi). bu that is provided you get the propper tuning. ohh.....and you night want to drop you timming down to 14deg. it might help a little.

no one reccomends better fuel management????

i dont think 20psi can be had on the vafc hack

with the hack probably 10-11psi max...with better fuel mgmt you can prob go up to 18 depending on tuning

The stock Honda MAP is good for 9-10 psi depending on it's era. At 8 psi, there's a good chance he'll crack piston lands with the cracked out AFC hacked timing.

Have you seen the Secrets Part 4 thread? Both filetofit and myself posted up some good information on this subject.

I did recomend a few fuel ststem upgrades. and why can't he use a vafc hack? my car has seen 1.4 bar and runs 14psi daily with a safc. belive me it can be done very esily as long as you are knowledgabe about your afc and have a a/f gauge you can trust. if you dont want to spend tons of cash on a satndalone, it can be done witout one. granted there are limitations but there are some damb fast cars with a safc!

since when did a fuel computer have anything to do with ignition timing?
he WONT crack aftermarket rings with 10 PSI.

sure, you can run the afc with an fmu or something at 14psi but it wont work well with the afc "hack." I guess you could do it with a 2 or 3 bar map but im sure the vacuum portion of the tables will not be very practical for daily driving.

A fuel computer can have something to do with ignition timing if it is used in the way the "hack" is. If you know how the hack works its easy to understand. If you cut ~40% from the map sensor the ecu sees vacuum even under full boost. The ecu obviously has different timing values dependent on engine load. Im sure you dont want the advance the ecu will give you under boost, thinking your in vacuum. I plan to go with the smc/afc hack also until i can afford an aem ems. I will be retarding the timing about 4 degrees at the distrubutor which will counteract this quite a bit although it might be more sluggish out of boost.
