I am looking for an intercooler for my 01 GSR and I found this one on ebay. My goal is for 400+ hp is this intercooler capable of that?

 

i was thinking the same. they look nice , but im no pro here, But i need one like asap to finish myproject and low on cash now .

 

Damn I would like to get it if I knew it would be good enough for my application. I have the cash for this right now and it is a crazy deal. Anyone out there???????

Well in the description it does state that the auction only for one intercooler and that it will flow enough for 400+ hp....(actually one says 425hp and the other says 400hp)

 

now how do you mount something like that with no brackets?
do you weld or bolt on brackets? or will the clamps on the piping hold it in there good>?

 

Looks like a pretty good IC to me, its spearco and thats always a plus too...

Hes got another smaller one for $299 its a 6inch rather than 8inch though

I just e-mailed him to see if he has another one of those or even a bigger one. As soon as you get it post up some pics so we can see it. This seems like a deal to good to be true.

He has a lot of these I guess. He has them in a core size of 20x10x3 and 20x8x3 as well. Anyone interested in a groupbuy on these spearco intercoolers?

 

he emialed me and said they will come with brakets and stuff too . shipping is alot on them though , the only downside.

 

how much for shipping?

 

Seems like he could do a better deal on shipping if we get a lot of people to buy these

 

35 shipping plus 15 for insurance if wanted, I got it anyway just in case. but he's in NY and im in PA so its kinda much , but fuggit, looks like a nice *** IC
still cheaper than the Drag I was gonna get at my dealer discount . so all in all i think i made a good desion

 

Glad to hear it comes with brackets... I may still weld something on though, depending on how the brackets look. Anyone have a good source on the silicone IC pipe couplers?

i found out the shipping is soo much becuase he shipps from MOntreal . and the brackets are weld on he said . we'll see how it goes.

 

Does anyone know if the Hybrid Intercoolers run good?

 

looks good...the length looks just about right...

 

I highly doubt it actually is a Spearco core.

He even writes: "SPEARCO BAR AND PLATE style "

I'm sure he buys larger cores, and then just chops them to a smaller size.

 

I got a spearco...its been used for about 4 years now...no complaints here!

 

That is what it looks like to me, but who knows.
