How does a turbo just stop making boost?
This is definitely the weirdest thing thats gone wrong with my car yet. Heres the long version of the story:
I have had my car up on a lift at work for like 2 weeks, doing some work on it in my spare time. I put rear disk brakes on, a lightened crankshaft pulley, new O2 sensor, motor mount inserts, and a bigger oil drain line. I never even unbolted the DP, manifold or turbo. I started it up yesterday to drive it a little, I still need a new motor mount so I can't go very far. But here's the wird part. I revved it up while it was in the garage, it spooled up and the BOV went off like normal. So it was woking when started it up so this couldn't have happened when I was working on my car. I get out on the road and make a normal second gear pull and the turbo isn't spooling up at all, I can't hear it spool up, I can't feel the boost kick in, the boost guage doesn't go above 0??????? I stopped immediately to look under the hood cause it felt like a rag was sucked over the turbo inlet. Nope, the compressor wheel was spinning fine, I got back in and tried it again. Same thing, no boost at all. It sounds like there is no air getting sucked in to the turbo. I got it back in the shop and took off the lower charge pipe and blew the air hose into the compressor, it spooled up fine and I put my hand under the outlet and it was blowing air. That makes me think it has something to do with the exhaust side.
Has this ever happened to anybody? I am going to take my turbo off tomorrow and look at it. What should I look for, there wanst very much shaft play, and it doesn't move in and out so I don't think the shaft broke. Does anyone have any ideas?

Oh yeah, there isnt any boost leaks but I didn't check the BOV to see if it was stuck open. I will check later.

If the wastegate was stuck open i think he would hear it unless you have it plumbed back into your exhaust. I can;t really think of anything else really tangible expect for a major boost leak somewhere

Re: (Turboaddict)
Im a dumbass, I forgot about the one of my couplings that likes to pop off sometimes. Its hidden below my bumper so I didnt see it. Im 99% sure thats what it is, I just forgot to look at that one. I was freakin out and its just my pipe that popped off. Thanks though.

Re: (N20civicB18)
It was the pipe coming off the outlet of my intercooler. Maybe thats why it sounded so weird, I couldnt hear it spool up at all, thats why I thought I broke something. I fixed it and its fine now.
