Default How does this sound...

I am getting ready to put a 91 Ls motor into a 91 crx and I and going to turbo charge it so I was wondering if you guys could look over my set up and tell me if it will work and how good it will work.
Drag turbo kit
Automter A/f gauge and boost gauge
Turbo XS manual boost controller
NGK 7 series plugs
clutchmaster stage 3
MSD plug wires
Zdyne Gold ECU and 450cc injectors
3 bar map sensor
I am wondering what kind of boost and track times you think I could get with race gas on 13x8 slicks that are 24 inch tall? Do I need a FPR? This is NOT a daily driver. thanks for the help.

I plan on getting the tial upgrade. Zdyne's web site says that the zdyne gold alows you to control timing. What kind of boost do you think I could run on race gas on a motor that if it blow it blows.

You don't need to upgrade to the Tial WG. If your buyin it from Ben GB its comes with the Tial 35mm good luck sounds good with your setup.

Might wanna upgrade from the Autometer gauges as well. Some people like them, but I've heard too many stories of them breaking. Go with something a little nicer.

on stock internals you probably would not want to run over 12 psi. and that is seriosly pushing it. i would say that tuned right you would have a 12.7 or so car. this is just a guess from what i have seen my freinds do with there ls motors.
i could be wrong somone elts input to back me up. or to say im wrong??

i dont trust autometer at all!
my boost gauge reads 2-3psi w/ the car off!!! yes off! we all know that should be 0. RIGHT!

get a good egt too ...to help will silly things like avoiding MELTING.

tial!!!! way to go ben...good man!

LS w/ a CRX nice combo
i like

swap out that boost controller get a better unit to control boost levels per gear

blitz i think make a good unit or apex?

what is the ecu costing you?? think dfi or something like hondata over a tricked out ecu

my autometer reads fine. And many drag racers in the country use autometer as well...dunno why it's not accurate to you

I also plan to get the autometer water temp gauge, oil pressure gauge, fuel pressure gauge, and a Greddy Egt gauge. I also decided to swap the clutchmaster stage 3 for a stage 4 and I plan to ditch the manual boost controller and get a greddy profec b with the high and low boost steering wheel button. On a built motor with sleeves, rods and pistons what is the maxximum boost that this set up could handle? what else would I need to add in order to get full power with out going stand alone? i also plan to run a 100 shot direct port n2o setup after I blow up the stock motor and get the built motor in it.

if your gonna spend all that money on building the motor you should seriosly consider a stand alone. you will be safer. you wont have 3 piggy backs fighting over oneanother. and you ill probably show more gains in hp and tq. just my opinion. but you will almost spend just as mutch on a stand alone as you will on all the piggyback electronics your gonna buy to control everything and you still wont be able to control it all unless yo get a stand alone. good luck to ya.
