The part with the two holes in the top connects to your turbo manifold and the downpipe should connect to the hole on the right side of the turbo.

Where'd you get that? Looks like a T4 exhaust flange.

Let me get another angle of where the downpipe connects.

Looks like you need some kind of v-band clamp..I've never seen that style before, what kind of turbo is that?

Holset, but there's no place for a V-band. I guess i'll weld a V-band to it or something.

Because i've spent less than that on used ones that have only failed due to my error, too much feed, too much restriction (nitrous restrictor clogged), bad drain...

I don't see ruining a new turbo through trial and error.

As far as spooling it, expletive it, it's cheap, if it doesn't spool, i'll resell it for more than i paid for it.

I looks like thier may be bolts that are snapped of and rusted over in some of those six tabs surounding the discharge?? maybe? it had to connect to the downpipe somehow the two at 8 and 10 oclock really look like they have old snapped of bolts in them...I'd say get another turbo if you can.But I know how it is you have to use what you have sometimes.

I haven't actually bought this turbo yet, but it's available to me dirt cheap and if anything, i have a welder so i can put a V-band on it. I'll get ahold of Holset, i can't believe i didn't think of something so obvious.

Amen. You could buy a decent used turbo for $300-400 and your trying to make farm tractor turbos work to save a few bucks.

If the turbo in question were a little cleaner, I'd disagree with you...

Hell, a little sandpaper and parts cleaner and it'll be good to go.

Clean it up and make a flange for it. Weld the flange onto the exhaust side and make a downpipe.

How does the turbine spin? Any shaft play? Rough at all?

I'm guessing its a slip fit.... I'm also going to suggest that you just get a Vband welded to it and call it a day.

From the size of the inner lip near the wheel i would think you could easily find a pipe that would slip inside the hole and then weld it with a V-band on the End.

TIG welding to a Nickel Iron like that isn't going to work very well at all. It could also that the metal is contaminated so the weld won't hold.

This looks like a slip fit w/ 6 bolt patter similar to Garrett's Internally gated GT32 (in its original form.)

I Guess I'm in agreement with others, this is much more trouble than its worth.

Most everything I've laid hands on where the turbine housing rust had advanced into scaling, and had a bunch of ignorant overspray from John Deere, Jr, trying to fix up his **** so it would look ghetto bling... yeah, needs a rebuild.

It may be worth fooling around with, but you need to find out what you have in the first place. Compressor capacity, turbine cm^2, etc.

tap those bolt bosses for whatever hardened bolt you want and then have a mild steel flange milled to match that outlet and voila, you're done.
