How does a Eletronic Boost controller work?

Default How does a Eletronic Boost controller work?

can someone explain how the electronic boost controller works? I know how the wastegate bleeds pressure to adjust boost, but I don't know the specifics about the controller. I assume the EBC sends a signal to an eletronic an actuator of sorts that somehow manipulates the WG (perhaps by adjusting vacume). TIA, -C
