How do you change the exhaust side of a turbo?
I have a T3 turbo with an a/r of .36 Can I change this to a larger a/r and if so, would a .48 be better? I want to make 250-275 hp on my b18c1.

Call http://www.majesticturbo.com They are the best! I called around dozens of places because I wanted to change my exhaust housing from a .8X (I forget what the exact ar was) to a .63, and no one could do it. It was because I had an O trim wheel. But Majestic Turbo machined one out for me and got it to me quick and cheap!

i'm looking at doing this for my turbo. anybody here done it by themselves? one method i've been told is to heat the turbine, then the bolts will free.

What are you thinking about doing? The original question was on getting a "bigger" hot side housing for better flow. If you are thinking that you need to change the turbine to get a different A/R, you do not have to do that. All you need to do is change the housing.
