Hey guys,

i'm going to be buying a Precision 6262. the guy claims its a Ball Bearing turbo! how can i check to make sure 100% that it is a BB 6262? he says it doesnt even have 50 miles on it, because he put it on his GSR, and on the Dyno the motor blew up. here are the pics he provided me with.

please any info or help will be greatly appreciated!!

its going to have coolant ports on both sides of the center section between the oil feed and the return, ever single picture you posted conviently keeps those ports hidden from view if they are in fact there......

 

only the old Precision stuff uess coolent, the new style bb turbos are oil cooled only.

 

the new CHRA's are not water cooled anymore, you will notice it has fins on the CHRA cause they are now air cooled, oil lubricated......

 

you said fins? do you have a picture for me showing these "fins" i really want to make sure this is a ball bearing and not a journal, and get ripped off! lol

well i dont know about precision but on my garrett gt35r if you look through the bottom oil return you can clearly see the dual ball bearings

 

the shaft feel when you grab the compressor wheel and move it around is different between the 2 types also, the BB is more clunky and solid feeling. It takes one to know one.
