Default How do I get rid of Code 90?.....Please help!

Has anyone ever had Code 90?

If you did, could you please give me some direction on how to get rid of it?

I already replaced the Purge Cut Solenoid and that didn't work. I have run out of ideas of what it could be.

Please help if you already had this problem and know how to fix it. I'm lost

Thanks for the help.

Well the shop I went to for the diagnostics test said it was the purge cut solenoid that was throwing the code, and one of my friends that had the same setup as mine threw the code and replaced the solenoid and it fixed the problem. Well I did the same thing and it just pops back up the next day. So this past weekend I changed all my vacuum lines so they are the right size(3/8") and also replaced the small tee with a bigger one(3/8"). I make sure all the lines are secure to the right vacuum sources and also look to see that the hoses will not leak. So I drive it home and no check light, drive to work in the morning and no light, leave work and about 5 miles down the road the light comes on.

My setup is as follows:

'99 GSR JRSC @9psi
I/H/E
JR water injection
JR Map mod
Zip's o2 Sim
Cartech FMU
290cc Injectors

The vacuum lines for the Purge Cut Solenoid are as follows:

PCV Valve and the vacuum source at the bottom of the blower(in between TB and blower) Tee into the PCS and the line coming off the PCS goes to the charcoal canister. This is how JR has it in their instructions.

Please help

if the shop that checked your car said it was the purge solinoid did you check to see if their was power to solnoid? How long did it come on since you last put gas in the car because if it is related to the evap system then it could also be caused by a loose/ bad gas cap or the fuel tank not being sealed? did you change your fuel pump?

I did not check for power to the solenoid.
I didn't put gas in the car from the time that I worked on it to the time that the light came on.
I did change my pump to a Walbro.
How do I know if I have a bad gas cap or the tank being sealed?
What do I need to check?

BTW, I changed the pump like 6 months ago and the light started coming on about a month ago.

well this is where it gets difficult due to the fact that at work we have a special tool to presurize the entire system and it also pumps smoke in to make the leaks easy to find, plus we have scanners to turn the solinoid on and off. You need to find a way to pressurize the tank and see if it holds the pressure, keep in mind that it does nto hold much presure and it is aloud to leak a certain percent over a given time. Unfortunatly i do not know the specs for Honda off hand because i work at a GM dealership but diagnosis is the same for all makes.
