HOW TO DISTINGUISH A REAL GARRETT TURBO?
I just got this turbo last night and I was told after the fact that it was not a real one because it was missing the serial number plaque.
I talked to the guy who sold me the turbo and he tells me that plaques are only issued when a regular walk-in customer buys one. That's how they keep track of them on warranty issues, etc. He suggested I take it to a thrid party so they can verify it is indeed a real Garrrett Turbo. So now I am left wondering since I am new to this Turbo thing. Here are some pictures to see if anyone can see anything wrong with it.

www.turbobygarrett.com I would thing they would be the best at determining if you have a Garrett Turbo...
At first glance it looks ok to me, the Garrett on the comp housing looks slightly odd but I cant remember looking at a turbo in a while that has that on it.
Is that a T67ho? Looks like an 11 blade P-Trim turbine wheel...
