how difficult to install turbo kit ???
wondering how hard and what kind of turbo kit to get for my 1.6l sohc auto i don't have the money to do a motor swap and then a auto to man transfer so i am going to go with a turbo kit ....... thanks jesse
In your case, I would do just that, an engine swap. You will find that the auto trans won't take the kind of abuse that you will want to give it and wind up swapping it later anyway. If you are deadset on not going the engine swap route, the Greddy turbo is easy to put in. Easy meaning that you have experience turning wrenches, have done modifications to your car already, and, of course, have the correct tools to perform the install. Now if you have the opportunity to do an engine swap and then turbo, muhahahaha.
dude, either get an engine swap, or get your transmission changed to manual + turbo.. I think the engine swap will probably be more cheaper to maintain in the long run and end up being much more reliable that the turbo.. even on some days I regret not swapping in a normally aspirated DOHC VTEC instead of blowing everything on parts and accessories for my turbo..
Heh I would be mad if I bought a turbo kit and still had a 16 sec car afterwards.
