check out the small sized intercooler from precision turbo. You can jsut directly mount it to the bottom of bumper(not bumper cover obviously) and it is definetly good for the amount of power you are looking for.

There is no reason to run a HUGE intercooler for 250-270 WHP. This is one of those cases where bigger is not always better. You can only cool the hot air so much. I don't know what size to tell you man, but you dont need the biggest one you can shove under your bumper.

if you are only looking for a smaller amount of boost, either get a drag or rev hard intercooler. You do not need a big intercooler, the guys that are saying you do are ******* retarded. If you want to spend a bit more get a precision. All of those intercoolers should be pretty good upto 350 whp

i think you lose pressure running too big a intercooler for a low psi

REV HARD, PRECISION, YONAKA, DRAG, INTERCOOLERS, WHICH ONE WOULD BE THE BETTER ONE. IM MAINLY TALKING ABOUT QUALITY.

absolutely. by running too large an intercooler, you can actually cause a pressure drop ( usually in <1psi). while it isnt a huge drop, on a low boost application it can make a difference.

granted a bigger intercooler will cool the charge temp more, what good does it do if its costing you power?

the same reason a bigger intercooler is better on larger psi setups is the same reason bigger intercoolers are good and bad on smaller psi setups

the larger the intercooler the more surface space the intercooler has to charge and cool down the air.

but on a smaller psi setup the larger intercooler is going to have a pressure drop because of the larger surface area..

thing is 1psi to xx degree drop might be worth it depending on how much cooler the air is before and after the larger intercooler

with high psi and larger intercoolers its the perfect situation becuase you are moving higher rates of air through the large intercooler cooling it effectivly

the problem with saying a larger intercooler will cool more effectively is too broad of a statement. You can only get as cold as ambient. So going too large would have absolutely no benefit.

just get a 6-7" tall bar and plate ebay IC. they work fine and will support your hp goals easily

if you know youre not going bigger any time soon (basically if youve already had a turbo car, and know you wont want anything bigger/better in a couple months) then i would recommend a 7-8'' Bar/Plate off of ebay, or johnnyracecar or something of the sort. Seriously tho, if youve never had a boosted car, let alone honda, then i would go with something a little bigger, like a precision 650 or something of the sort, because once you go boost, youll either want more and rebuild it, or blow it up, want more and rebuild it, haha. good luck

you dont want a overkill on your setup. 3'' piping is way too big 2.5 is just fine, as you are only running 8psi you dont need a 25psi setup

smaller intercooler, smaller intercooler piping and you are good to go
