How to?? 5wire bosch
Can anyone tell me how to wire in a 5 wire bosch 4.2 o2 sensor or even just tell me what the 5 wires are?? witch ones ground, positive ect.... for all 5 wires?? thank you jarven93 will be installed on 93 civic ex d16z6 p28 ecu vtech. wire colors are...RED, Black, yellow, grey , white.
I think so, since vtech is also the proper spelling for a children's learning toy company.
ALL widebands require a controller to interpret the output, as well as calibrate the sensor and control it's heater element. The stock ecu would only run the heater for the first 30 seconds or so, but have no way to guess the output. It's not linear compaired to the output of a wideband controller, and definately not like the 0-1 volt output of a narrow band.
Cliffs: direct-wiring a 5-wire should NOT be done.

PLX is a good all-purpose unit, but I personally like Innovate due to both price and bonuses like a complete (and free) graphing/datalogging program. It's just that some people who can't wire a flashlight to save their lives have issues with grounds with LC-1's.
Some people also wire their programable wideband output to a (cheap $15) programable digital 0-2 volt gauge. That way 10:1 afr shows as 10.0 volts and 20:1 shows as 20.0 volts. The meter allows you to move the decimal one spot, hence displaying 2 volts as 20.0
