Default how to...

make a d16y8 sohc engine sound like a diesel engine....? you all know what i mean, you either hear them on diesel trucks (obviously) or built up mustangs. i just love the way they sound and wanted to build my engine and have it sound like that. if not, begin the flaming. i always love reading them

???? I have never heard a mustang sound like a diesel? Describe what you are talking about a little bit better. . .

deep, raspy sound. sounds like its choking from the exhaust. you gotta know how a diesel engine sounds like

so you mean the "lopy" idle that comes from a beefed up v8's cam? because i don't know what diesels u have been listening to, but most of them sound wayy different than a deep-throaty v8....clarify please :D

get dual webers and gude's biggest cam; it'll make your car sound friggin' mean, idle like ***, but have some good topend.

besides getting the carbs get a free flowing flowmaster exhaust.......you'll have the lowdest car around....

You could turbo it with a super super small turbo which spools at like 1200rpms....then run a lumpy cam and an open exhaust...that might make it sound like a diesel.
