Default hondata vs. tranny swap

i am going to make some killer $$$ this summer and i would like some of your opinions. should i invest in hondata so my car can finally be tuned or should i go with a manual tranny swap first. My auto is not showing any signs of failure....yet. What do any of you suggest i do first?

lets look at it this way. What's more important to you, boosting or driving. If you go with hondata, you are bound to turn up your boost and kill the tranny. Or swap the tranny, keep it at low boost and then have it tuned. Since you have the blue box, it's tuned for where it's at now. You'll be much more happy with doing the 5spd swap now vs. going hondata now. If you go hondata, you'll still be limited due to your tranny. Where as, if you go with the tranny swap, you'll get faster times and still have your car running.

I'd replace the tranny when you get the money before it craps and your stranded.

look at it from this point of view. If you swap to a manual tranny now, even staying at the boost level your at, your car will be MUCH faster with the manual. I think that would make you much happier right now. then save for hondata. if yo u have FMU, vacf and etc... you may have enough money for a used hondata once you sell all that stuff you won't need with hondata.

Manual tranny all the way. You'll see a nice gain in your 1/4, from the better gear ratios too.

If you make killer $$$ buy a project car and turbo it!
