hondata s300 question?

Default hondata s300 question?

i run hondata s300..i had it on my old set up and ran well will getting tuned, i have a simlar set up on my new car, and for some reason, we been trying to tune it and it keeps disconnecting when we hit full throttle and wont let you data loggin.wat can it be..help would be great

Most likely your ignition system....spark plugs must be resistor type, aftermarket ignition systems generate a huge amount of interference, plug wires may not be properly sheilded casuing huge amounts of interference, the cap itself may be aftermarket and be allowing interference.

yeah that might be..i do run a msd set up, i run ngk bk7re which i was told are resister plugs..could it be a cold soter in the ecu

You can keep the msd. Move it away from the ecu if possible and rewire the coil leads with a shielded wire and ground the shields somewhere on the chassis. Run the coil lead away from the ecu and the engine harness.

when i have this happen to me with customers cars on the dyno......99% of the time if you dont attempt to datalog during the pull......you can pull the intenal log with no problems.


having the ignition box mounted close to the ecu seems to always cause problems.

the msd is mounted in the egine bay away from the ecu or harness..so is the coil..

If it is still connected to the car it will casue interference.
