This doesnt pertain to forced induction...but i know I'd get the quickest answer here...I bought a hatch with a 00 b16 in it. it currently has hondata. now the owner said it had s100...BUT there is the hondata blue box atach to the ECU...AFAIK the s100 is just a chip placed in the ecu which is tunable by a hondata tuner/dealer. so do i have s200?

 

if thiers a blue box attatched then it is s200. S100 is all contained inside the ecu

no, you cannot uninstall it

 

you'd have to convert back to obd2 then use the stock ecu.

 

ok nm then...i guess ill just wait till i get my set-up on and have jeff uninstall it and use neptune...cause its just the base hondata...it doesnt have the boost option...

 

so instead of just spending the extra 200 to get the boost option your gonna scrap it and just go neptune

 

well it was an option...but then jeff said it wouldnt be worth it to upgrade...i think the cost of neptune is also 200 bucks...how do i upgrade to s200b anyway?

edit: nm i checked the hondata website...can ANY dealer upgrade me? or does it have to be where it as originally purchased from?

it should say on the blue box if its s200 or not. look on the bottom of it

 

ok well ilooked on the bottom and counlt find anything that would lead me to think its the s200...im thinking its the older stage 2...thanks for mentioning that mase

How bout spend that $200 on the neptune, and sell the hondata, end up making money.

 

well im def. going with neptune...since thats what my tuner (jeff evans) wants to use...but how can i sell it if i dont even know what it is!? im guessing its the old stage 2 judgine from the blue box...is it supposed to say "s200" on it or what? i couldnt find anything
