Default hondata ecu question?

i have a 2001 turbo prelude. was looking at getting a hondata, but wanted your guys input on weather to use a p28 or p72 ecu? anyone running this set up? what do you think?

You can run either the p72 or p28 ecu. It does not matter. The p28 ecu may even be a little cheaper and easier to find as well.

I think the reason he asked is cause 5G Prelude have IAB's just like a GSR. Maybe he's worried about loosing IAB control?

I gotcha, but don't most guys get rid of the IAB anyways?

if you still have the stock intake manifold with the butterflies then i would pick up a p72 ecu and have it socketed. Not to mention you can still use the knock sensor fo datalogging. with a motor that has been sleeved, might as well stop the extra cash on a p72.

if you have the skunk2 intake manifold, then pick up a p28 ecu, as its cheaper and with a knowledgable tuner you'll be fine for you timing.

You can always add the IAB circuitry to the P28 ECU
