Default hondata complaints

i have the hondata 3b running my jrsc 00 si

a couple of complaints:

when i downshift hard from 5th to 3rd on the freeway going around 60, i usually rev my engine to about 7k and dump the clutch, but wit the hondata, since there is a full throttle shift feature, it cuts fuel whenever the rpms are above 6k and the clutch is engaged....so it won't let me do this....

also, since my clutch is going bad, i can't dump my clutch at 3k anymore. i have to rev it to 4-5k and feather the clutch till it hooks. this is hard since my launch rpm is set to 3k....

also, i'm having probs adjusting these rev limiters for some reason.. i've tried numerous times...but it seems like the switch doesn't respond.

anyways... wut do you think?

It sounds to me like you don't know how to set those things with your switch. They are all easily modified to whatever you want them to be. Check hondata's website for some how-to videos.

You can disable full throttle shifts and lauch control for the streets by just disconnecting tha cable from the box. I would not advise you with driving it on the street anyways with the clutch switched hooked up.
I don't understand, you rev your car to 7000 rpm in fifth gear and try to downshift to 3rd? Does anybody else see something wrong with this ?
When you push on your push button your engine light will start blinking. does it do that? have your tried setting it statically or the dynamic way?

I have the same problem with setting my s200 rev limits with the button, it just doesn't work, so I have to do it in Hondalogger.....works fine then, but I'd like to know that our customers buying units won't have problems with it, since they don't have laptops and often go to events out of state.....
I'm calling to place an order today, so I'll see if anyone there has some answers....

Why is your full throttle shift set to 6000? Or is that the default and you can't change it because of the button not working?
