You can order Hondata from any Hondata dealer in the nation.
It sounds like what you are looking for is a hondata s300 system.

what do u think?
thats hondata's site, and u will use the hondata program to tune it.U will need a dealer to tune it because the program is not available to the public.
And u can look forward to having a car that drives like stock and is safe at any RPM or throttle position.

that is a chipped ecu. if you want to run hondata you still have to buy the hondata unit and put in the ecu. there are other programs out there like crome, ectune, neptune too but just ask your tuner what he prefers and go with that.

this is a picture of a hondata s300 installed in a chipped ecu

another option similar to s300 is neptune rtp. less expensive with better customer support. info is available at http://www.hrtuning.com. this is what it looks like inside a chipped ecu:

both of the above allow you to change settings on the fly yourself or your tuner with the use of the supplied software on a laptop. a newer program is ectune similar to the two above but you use a ostrich emulator. basically the same as the two above.
the less expensive option if you don't plan on tuning it yourself would be just a chipped ecu. instead of where the s300 unit would be it's just a chip there with a program on it. take it to a tuner who tunes your setup and they burn it onto the chip. programs for this method are regular neptune, crome, ectune, uberdata, etc.... this is what a chipped ecu looks like:

imo i would suggest a chipped ecu if you don't plan on doing any tuning yourself. it's less expensive because you don't have to pay for the rtp unit on top of the ecu and tuning. if you didn't know already you will also need a conversion harness to run a obd1 ecu which applies to all the above options. there are other options but this is just a basic rundown, it is best to talk to whoever is going to actually tune your car about what to do and that would lead us down another looooooooong road. hopefully that help clear things up a little bit.
forgot to mention http://www.phearable.net and http://www.xenocron.com are two very reputable sites to order stuff from and they are members on this site. i'm sure everyone from honda-tech would vouch for them.

I am not a ******* so I wont say search, because I know how time consumng it is to siff through all the treads that cover this subject.
so I am gonna recomend tthat you get a p28ecu convert to obd1 if you are not already, with program of your choice hondata, crome, uberdta, ectune, neptune etc. since you don't know anything about about car ectronics/ecu, I will say find someone local who does, since this is the the most important part of a car.
there are thousands of sources out there that will help to boost your knowledge you just have to read it. its so easy to find. pay someone to do it, or read it.

chipped ecu's are obd1. your engine is obd2a or b so you need this harness to plug the obd1 ecu into your obd2 wiring harness. without this obd1 ecu won't plug into your wiring harness.
obd1 ecu plug looks like this (top only):

The harness simply allows you to plug & play an obd1 engine computer into your vehicle. It is an "adapter".
