Default HKS Turbo Setup

Alright I have been researching into doing an HKS turbo setup for a while now and I'm looking into insight on a few things that I haven't been able to find out answers on. So far this is what I have added to the setup.

HKS GT2835 (0.61 AR/T25 Flange)
HKS Intercooler Core #13 (17301-033100AO)
HKS GT-II Wastegate 60mm (14005-AK001)
HKS Turbo Manifold

Now I know theres a formula to calculate this and I'll have to find it in my book I had but does anyone know when the gt2835 will start spooling at on a stock b18c1?

Also is the intercooler core 13 too big to fit an integra? And do I need to do cutting? It's size is 600x65x244.

And would I still be able to keep a/c and power steering with the hks log manifold with this turbo and if I use the peakboost ftw downpipe?
Thanks.

I would highly advise against HKS. They probably have really nice parts but they are way too expensive. They have that gt2835 turbo listed for $2000, thats insane.

Also there are a few other errors in your plan.:
1.The HKS turbo manifold for b-series is going to be very hard to find (its discontinued). Also it doesnt not have a provision for external wastegate and the turbo is internally gated so you have no need for the gt-II wastegate.

2. The intercooler only comes as a core so you would need to have end tanks attached before you could use it.

3. lastly a peakboost downpipe would not work with an hks manifold. you need to buy a matching mani and down pipe or have something custom fabbed.

In my opinion you need to continue researching to find the best setup for your car. you didnt mention a hp goal, budget, etc. if you can afford the hks stuff then i suggest you look into a nice kit like full-race or peakboost. it will come with all the parts you need. you need much more than just the 4 things you listed.

I don't find the HKS so bad, its just that there are quite a few parts that are not replaceable if something were to go wrong. If this were something other than a Honda would say go for it, but I don't know if you're choosing it because of the SMOG/BAR/CARB ****'s or not. As soon as you do an intercooler or BOV you're in violation anyway.

This is good advice. I'd follow that mode of thinking. PM us for more assistance, but be prepared to have answers for your goals, hp, use, etc.

True I can see why HKS would be better for cars other than hondas. I didn't even think about the wastegate and downpipe flange either.

Alright well I was pretty much originally going to go with the peakboost ftw a/c & ps compatible turbo kit. It was always my power goal to have at 10psi push around 340 or so whp which is what I have heard from friends and read that that kit can do. Correct me if I'm wrong. My budget pretty much allows for that and then the other pieces I need to get.

Now are precision 780cc injectors too big? I picked them just in case I do upgrade and boost a little more one day, but having bigger injectors shouldn't be a problem correct?

Also about Hondata, I am going with s300 but to put it into my car, 96 Integra GSR, I have to get a obd1 p72 ecu and the conversion harness from obd 2 to 1 correct?

Thanks for the help you guys! These are the final questions I've been having about turboing the past few months.

1. depending on the turbo you get 10psi could make that power. something like an sc61 or 60-1 might make that kind of power on 10psi. your standard 57 trim will probably be in the 300 range.

2. precision 780's will work just fine for your setup. might need obd1 style clips or modification to you your clips to plug in right.

3. you will need to cover to obd1 to use s300. you dont HAVE to get a p72 but it is the best if you want to keep the factory IABs. technically a chipped p28 or even a chipped p06 could work. make sure you get an obd2a -> obd1 conversion harness
