Highest SC50 (50-Trim) numbers on PUMP GAS?
How far has the SC50 been pushed on pump gas? And also, how much boost was run to hit those peak numbers?
This also applies to the Garrett 50-trim as well.
The only dynos I've seen are from my buddy's built B16, making ~334whp at 16-17 lbs, Mase-tuned.
I'm hoping for 375whp on pump gas. Is it possible with the SC50? I have the .48 a/r on a GSR though.

Platinum00 made 427whp on race gas with the same turbo on a d16y8!
I think he made 404whp on pump, but I'll have to search and check.

Not to thread jack but I have an ITS 50 trim (.63 a/r) that will be going on my build b16. Think I can make 400 with it with pump gas??

Probably on race gas though, right? That's what I'm trying to stay away from. I want to see what my car can do on straight BP 92 octane pump gas reliably.

Nope, pump gas. Look him up on DSMtuners, dregsx was his user name.

I don't see 375ish being that much of a stretch as long as you are doing other things to minimize reversion. An EL manifold and 3"+ exhaust with little to no restriction are musts. The little things like making sure the dumptube is routed away from the air filter and things of that nature will also help. Most likely you are going to find yourself at around 350ish whp but with a significant increase in midrange torque compared to a .63 housing.

9:1 built LS/Vtec, stock b16 head, GSR cams, .63A/R SC50, 93 octane pump, ~360whp on 18-19ish psi on a MUSTANG dyno known to read 15+% lower than hater-tech compatible dynojets. I don't have the dyno sheets for these runs, but I might be able to get them tomorrow while at the dyno.
The same car made 280whp on the Mustang and 341 whp on a dynojet (no change in tuning or setup, just dyno) as a 9:1 compression rod/piston LS non-vtec with the same turbo. I have the dyno sheets for this one if anyone is interested to see.

How much do you think the .48 housing will choke it up at those power levels? I had a real bad experience with a .48 housing on a GT30R car. So bad that going from a 2.25" exhaust system to an open 3" downpipe made 2hp! The restriction was at the housing, so freeing it up after that didn't do anything. This was at 300whp around 15psi.

Well since he hasnt answered, ill answer for him. He's using a Ramhorn manifold, 3" dp all the way to the muffler, dump goes out the front bumper

Roughly 8000-8200rpm, bone stock GSR head and I don't want to unnecessarily push it. It will either be mated to a 81.5mm GSR block, 81.5mm LS block, or a 84mm sleeved GSR if I can get it before it sells locally. In which case I'll step up to a SC6152E.

The small exhaust housing is going to have really high backpressure at those power levels and limit the power potential on pump gas because of it. The knock limit on the motor goes to **** with really high backpressure because of exhaust contamination. It's a simple fix, sell the .48 housing and buy a .63, they're not expensive.
