High whp D's - valve cover venting?
Here are some pics of a Z6 valve cover.
In this pic you can see the area that is baffled.
This is the side of the cover, with the top of the cover towards the top of the pic. I am pointing to the lowest point that the baffling is at on the inside of the cover.
Since there isn't much room to tap on the back of the cover, and even less on the front, I figured I would fine some small barbed 90 degree fittings, and tap the top of the cover in two spots, which I am pointing to.
Does anyone see any issues with that? And does anyone know where I could find some fittings that would work?

Re: (ELSpool)
i had a greddy style catch can, and replaced the seperator box w/ it. basically just plumbed the catch can in between the port on the block and the PCV valve.
Next setup is staying with the box in place and adding a small catch can between the PCV and the block.

i cut the black box in half and removed the baffling, welded it back together with a fitting on it. it runs to a catch can with a breather filter on top.
running filter on valve cover.
looking for other options though
platinum.

Re: (krustindumm)
Are the Z6 valve covers baffled? I hear if you tap it for venting you need to baffle it first, or tap in a baffled spot, so that oil doen't get out also.
It seems like there are alot of different ways to do it, does anyone know which is the most effective, and anyone with pics of their setup, especially of the back of the block, please post!

how many miles have you used this setup? have you inspected the compressor housing and intercooler for oil buildup?

Re: (dasher)
Good point dasher, if the sump doesn't pick it all up your also running it through the turbo/piping/fmic, and not just the engine itself like you would if it returned at the intake mani.
I looked over your thread on this stuff, did you ever come to a conclusion as to what would be the best setup for a boosted motor?

Open catchcan ventilation or exhaust assisted ventilation all work fine from a performance perspective.
Or you could spend alot of money and get a z10 vacuum ventilation which would be ideal. $$$$$$
