Default High Flow Catalytic Converters

Have any of you ever managed to clog a high flow cat? I know that running rich can clog an OEM cat but has anyone ever managed to clog a high flow cat? I'm asking because I'm getting a "rotten egg" smell after I mash on but it's only once in a while and only when I haven't mashed on it in a while. I know I'm running a little rich but judging by my plugs and knowing that my tuner tuned it at, it's actually a pretty safe mix.

I kept the stock cat on my boosted setup and then ran a Y pipe so I had 3in exh. coming off the exh. housing and then when I needed to pass emissions or took a girl out I would close it up and it was a great setup. It ran me about $250 which $200 of it was the electric cut out.

hi flo cats go bad all the time... they generally last less than a stock cats.

if your smelling rotten eggs the cat is going.

It's odd cause I haven't smelled rotten eggs since I posted this thread. Maybe it was just a fluke, or maybe the cat is just starting to go bad. We'll see with time I guess, for now it's all good.

It can take a LONG time for it to actually go. My stocker went over the course of 2 months (after the car already had over 200k miles on it).

I have a subaru legacy that has an extended warranty on the cats due to a fueling problem with the ECU. They've both been replaced do to them not performing as efficiently as they should... although they didn't "go". I've been smelling rotten eggs in that car since I got it in 05 (and still do on occaision). So they can last but the stock cats are also of higher quality than most after market hi-flo cats.
