Default High flow cat over Test pipe?

Hey guys I am currently using a random tech high flow cat for the past 5 years. I am really considering going to a test pipe. Do you guys think it would be worth it? whats the downside "besides being illegal". My setup is a ZC turbo pushing about 7 pounds and I am not getting what I would like out of it, so I wanted to free up the exhaust a bit more. Also would my car need to be retuned with a straight pipe or would it not make that much of a difference to do this? Thanks!

The exhaust would be more raspy with a test pipe. Have you ever had any problems with your cat and the turbo? I think I'm actually going to run a cat this time

A properly sized high flow cat wont cause much restriction, especially at only 7 pounds of boost. I doubt you will notice anything besides maybe a few hp, and a lot more noise. If your looking for power, i suggest instead to just turn your boost up to 10psi. 7lbs is barely enough to feel
