Default high compression numbers but...

hey guys,

another quick question for you guys. i tried searching..but when u search compression test...u get alot of results..

anyway...my compression used to be 230 across the board naturally aspirated.

after 2 months of running turbo..my compression reads... 230/230/230/205

i pour a cap of oil in cylinder 4...and it jumps to 235.

should i start getting worried?

thanks in advance

its only an 11 percent gap..Usually not to bad I think if it is more than a 20 percent gap then you should start to worry. Id still keep an eye on it.

Yeah, I'd worry. Thats a huge change in compression in such a short period of time. You've no doubt damaged the piston ring or piston itself.

Isnt it that its suppose to be no more than roughly 20 pts difference between cylinders? not 20%... I would get ready to do a rebuild personally.
