High Boost Question
I was always told that in order to run high boost, you have to run high octaine fuel in order to do it. I was under the impression that high octaine fuel allows a slower burn, thus decreases the chances of detonation. So if I were to run 94 octaine pump gas on a high boost application, what would I need to adjust on the standalone to assure I would not stand a good chance of blowing up my engine due to detonation. Thanks for any information.

Re: High Boost Question (slowcivic)
how much boost are we talkin here? in so cal, our super unleaded is 91 octane and from my experiences, 12psi is about the max. once you get up into the 14-15 psi range, race gas becomes mandatory.... unless you're pulling so much timing out that it's not even worth it to be running that much boost.
