Hesitation at light throttle
I been driving my car for the past week after i got it back from tuning, and there is a slight hesitation problem. It only occurs every once in a while, maybe about every third of fourth time i drive my car. The hesitation occurs at very light throttle, right in between the point of exhaust braking and parital throttle cruising. Its like the car cant make up its mind if it needs to accelerate of deccelerate. I can remain constant on the throttle and it will deccelerate and then accelerate creating a jerking motion. It only happens at this very slight throttle point, right around 18-20 in of vaccuum. Every other time i drive my car, it drives perfect. No hesitation whatsoever. Car is a 93 gs integra. I am running a Hondata S200 for fuel management. Any ideas?
I just had the o2 sensor replaced, but im running an open downpipe and the o2 is about 3 inches from the turbo. I dont know if that would have anything to do with it

I thought that this was a fix for the transition into boost. I dont have any problems in this area. Its only at very light throttle, right around 18-20 in of vaccuum

Are you running in closed loop? If so, it's probably just your ECU making corrections...
My car does that some times when it's cold... but it's such a slight hesitation I don't worry about it.
I'm running closed loop right now and some times if I am at just the right vacuum I can feel my AFR cycling around stoich...
my wideband confirms that this is what is going on so I don't worry about it... if it really starts bothering be I'll just swtich to open loop and tune the vacuum portion of my maps...

i am in closed loop. I wouldnt bother me so much if it didnt cause such a jerking motion, but its pretty harsh. With finer tuning, do you think this problem will go away? Some people have suggested the TPS for the problem, but if it was this wouldnt it do it all the time? Appreciate the help
Do you have a wideband hooked up? If so watch it when it does this. Mosly likely it's a slight lean miss. My car does it too. I wouldnt worry about it though. With that little of a load on the engine, it really doesnt matter too much how lean it is. My guess goes to a lean miss.
I dont have a wideband. Its not that im really worried about it hurting my engine, it just pisses me off when it does it. What could be done to make it stop. Do i need a retune?
I was kinda thinking the same thing. They better retune it for free, cause ive only had the car back for about a month. I just wanna be sure that this is the problem before i have to schedule another appointment
