HELP- what would you choose????
Alright guys, heres my deal (havent posted in a while, heh)
1995 Honda Civic EX Coupe
Horizon Gray
So heres what happened, i was just cruising on the freeway and bam... engine died turns out "le radiator" decided to pop... engine overheated and i hadnt realized it, i have Dredg on blast to thank for that... anyway put in a d16z6 with a tranny, 25k miles... stock as can be... all i have is my RS*R exhaust, and i am sick of this car...
So ive got my choices down to:
SRT-4 for 19000 OTD
WRX for 20k OTD
Find another EG... hatch or coupe, black... drop in a D16 and boost...
What I want in a car is reliability, stealth-factor, at least high 13s, and a 5-spd
I want to keep the engine stock... I've heard the GReddy kit rocks, and is reliable... but what about DRAG? for about 2600, a DRAG Gen III comes with everything, those of u with experience please help...
I just basically want opinions on running a boost on the stock D16 motor, and what tranny would work best mated to it? Any engine parts for safety sake? anything for a piece of mind? itll be a daily driver and maybe 1 trip to the track a month, and the occasional spirited driving...
after all, i am sure the civic will provide me with a fun ride, and that stealthy appearance im looking for, and **** i love the look of the 92-95, ive had my EX for 3 years, and love her just as much as the first day, but its an automatic, and i think its time for a change... hatch's are sick
ANY opinion is well taken and appreciated... I've done the research, but have found myself stuck, im just looking for experience and opinions here, all are welcome...
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!!

Re: HELP- what would you choose???? (pissedoffsol)
My friends mom has an 04 WRX and I am not impressed. There is a TON of lag in between the gears. AWD is nice but they are overpriced. Now, I bet the STI or whatever that 300HP model is with the brembo brakes and 17" wheels, the would be fun to drive! Go ahead......its only money!
