Help with turbo
Hi all,
Need some serious help with my set up
Due to my eagerness and naivity i rushed in and purchased a used custom set up and believed what the purcahsed claimed about the set up.
Well after about everything I brought causing me some trouble I have just had my car retuned and the set up is
b18c
Microtech Lt-8 with wasted spark
580cc inj, walbro 255 fuel pump, aem rail
Stock block (soon to be changed)
To4/03 turbo, Turbonetics external wastegate 7.6 spring (dump'd)
custom Log style manifold
2.5" going to 3" exhaust
FMIC with 2.5" piping, HKS BOV
Got 212hp and 8.2psi at the wheels
This was a bit disapointing and further inspection and talking to mechanic
we found out that the turbo specs are as follow
0.63 Comp housing with a Stage V trim
0.36 Exhaust housing with a stage 1 wheel.
The exhaust housing on the turbo seems to be the main culpirt for my lack of power and also a very bumpy torque curve (will try and post dyno sheet later)
The log manifold most probably does not help either but should be good enough to get me to my goals so I don't really want to change that.
So my quesiton is will going to a 0.63 housing be too big for the stage 1 wheel
and /or what do you guys recommend to get my set up to around 300+whp
(Note I am putting a new engine in with forged internals so I can run more boost to achieve this, also look to change muffler to 3" from turbo and plumb the external back in)
Thanks for any help.

Seriously any help?
Can no one give me some details on a similar turbo with a 0.63 exhaust housign and stage one wheel and what sort of numbers it can do?
Other option is to sell the turbo I have and get something else more in line with my goals
