Help. Time to decide on Motor to boost
I know you guys have prolly read a ton of these things but this is a pretty damn specific one so hopefully i wont get too many flames . I've been in the honda scene for awhile but actually have the money and car to get things going now. My problem : Trying to decide between a b16a or b18b. Here's what i'm working with:
-Motor will not be built (money issues), however if the LS is the choice will have a b16 or b18c tranny
-Car is mainly for fun and reliabilty, occasional drag, no autocross
-Will be going into a gutted 92 cx
-Will be using hondata (I have a very good tuner close by)
-Will have a peiced together kit (wish i could tell you the exact specs, but the tuner is basically putting it together for me)
-Will have Fuel Upgrades
-Prolly pushing at most 10psi, but low boost 6 or so, daily
-NO Ls-vtec
--- I'm looking at spending 5.5k or so alltogether, and with all of this stated which do you think is the better choice ... a b16a or b18b. Which do you think will put out better numbers while still staying reliable?... and do you think the b16 will be a dissipointment in the torque category at 7-8 psi?
Any comments or suggestions welcome, thank you for your help

Re: Help. Time to decide on Motor to boost (NegroCoupe)
if it were me, i'd go LS.
its cheaper, and as the same potential pretty much stock.
think area under the curve, not peak numbers
