Default help throwing code for map sensor

ok setup. 1989 civic si d16z6 turbo running 7-8 psi with 450s and using v-afc. When reving past 4 grand and making boost some times check engine light comes on for map sensor. Does this mean my map sensor is reading boost? Do i need to run a check valve to eliminate this problem? My friend says the V-afc should make it so i dont need to run check valves. Could this problem be eliminated with dyno tunning? Help me please. thanks in advance for any helpful responses.

what are your AFC settings at? have you tuned it? If you dont have the AFC lean enough, it wont trick the MAP sensor enough...
