help someone quick!!!!
I have a d16z6 turbo custom set-up and my air/fuel ratio gauge seemed a bit off but a professional said all the settings were right. He recomended cleaning the o2 sensor with WD-40 so I did and as soon as put it back in and started my car it barely started then it idled weird back and fourth from 350-1200 rpms. When it gets past 3000 rpms the car shakes very bad from the motor shaking, I have a lot of black smoke coming out of my exhaust, also when I hit the gas it takes a few seconds for the motor to actually wind up. I put in new spark plugs after this and a new o2 sensor, but it is still doing the same thing. What do you guys suggest doing? What could be wrong? thanks
Latest News: I had to go home for the weekend but my roomate played around with my S-AFC to make sure all settings were correct and he found out that my set-up was set for 3 Cyl, so he changed it to four and he said it is running a little bit better now but when you first start it up it barely wants to start. Do you guys think that this did any damage?

An 02 sensor problem isn't going to cause what you described. YOu can even unplug the sensor and the car will run okay, but rich.
SOunds like the map sensor. Check it and all the wires to make sure it's working.

Is the map sensor the one located on top of the throttle body? And to reset the ECU do you just unplug the battery? if so, how long? And the O2 sensor I bought was a Bosch universal. I just put on a new fuel filter about 3 days ago if that helps.

Yeah it happened right after but I have now replaced the o2 sensor and I even called a mechanic a few minutes ago and he told me to pull the 7.5 amp fuse from the fuse box under the hood for at least ten seconds and it resets something. I tried it and still my car runs like crap, even if I am idleing at a normal speed like 900 rpms my cars still shakes like hell and when I give it gas it jolts and shakes. I freaking out!!!!!!!!

Map sensor on some cars is the unit on top of the throttle body> make sure that's working. That's how a motor runs like if you unplug the sensor of if it is malfunctioning.
To reset the ecu, you pull the 7.5amp back up fuse for about 10 seconds.
Sounds like map sensor to me. Faulty 02 won't do this.

with a volt/ohm meter. course easiest way would be to swap off another unit.

my vacum on my boost gauge was reading about -20 yesterday now when I start it it is like at -10. You think that could be it? If so do I just check the lines to manifold, gauge, bov, etc..?

Vacuum leak.....spray brake cleaner around areas of vacuum, if you spray a spot and idle changes, you found the culprit.

Spray on the lines, or where they connect, like the manifold?
