Help with piston and rods
Do you have to do any work to the block<U></U> when installing aftermarket piston and rods from high compression to lower aftermarket piston ( Je piston). thanks

if your block is in perfect shape (probably not) all you have to do is hone it...but usually you will need to bore it .020 over. that will get rid of all the scratches and make the cylinder walls perfectly round again as the may tend to get an oval shape to them.

Not really. Probably going to need a bore to get piston-cylinder wall clearances in spec with the aftermarket pistons specifications.

true. also it is rare that your block will be perfect after driving on it for many miles and years. unless you never did either one of those.
