Default Help OverHeating Problem

Hello,

Well here is the setup
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1157456

I've had the car boosted and built for about 6 months then out of no where it starts overheating after about a hour of easy driving. Luckily i am always watching my gauges so I was able to prevent it from getting too hot by running the heater.

So here are the conditions
1. Car Boosts fine
2. Car will stay at operating temp for around 45min - 1hour then start to SLOWLY overheat
a. will overheat while crusing 50mph in cool amb temp
b. will overheat while sitting at idle in cool amb temps
3. Running heater will always bring temp back to normal
4. Oil is Clean and Coolant is Clean no mixing is evident
5. Car is not eating oil or coolant
6. Overflow bottle does not overflow with coolant when boosted.
7. Fan does work
8. Using a Fluidyne radiator
9. No leaks are evident

Here are the steps I have taken to try and resolve issue
1. Switched from water wetter and distilled water to 50/50 antifreeze and water
2. Blead the system many times using multiple techniques found on HT and in Helms
3. Replaced thermostat multiple times with a Aftermarket and OEM honda
4. Thermoswitch confirmed working
5. Replcaed Radiator cap with a 1.3 bar one
6. Thought maybe my Fluidyne radiator might be clogged, so replaced it with a OEM stock radiator. Still overheats

So now where to go from here, I guess i can replace my water pump but when I did my rebuild it was brand new although it was a aftermarket pump and not OEM. From what I can tell it appears to be some sort of heat soak issue. But how to fix it I can't say. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My only guess would be you need to wrap your DP, turbine housing, and/or manifold, or get them coated.

If nothing else, get a cheap sheet of steel and mount it between the radiator and dp/turbo/mani. If that slows overheating, then its probably just under hood temps creating some long-term heatsoak.
