yea wow i need to read better.. i missed this part.. First off what size shot are you spraying.. and is the kit hooked up properly? if you arent adding fuel or increasing FP (which the zex kit should include an adaptor thing to bump up the pressure when your spraying. (DRY KIT)) if this is not hooked up right then you have problems..

i checked the system it is all hooked up right hmmm maybe i should check again!!!

any ideas thanks for your replies by the way!!!!

Finally i think ive cracked it.
i took the car for a blast again, and realised that it was MISFIRING now without using nitrous!! it makes sense bcos i put in some zex spark plugs maybe they are crap and making my car misfire and maybe they caused the car to strain and drop speed COULD I BE RIGHT (ill have to check tommorow its dark outside now)???and will NGK-R spark plugs b o.k for nitrous so i can use them instead???

p.s whilst i took the car out for a blast again i came across a civic type r that was also blasting so i trhought maybe we can blast together, so i went on side of him and dropped a gear he also dropped a gear i went ahead by a about 2 cars then my car started to struggle again(cars revs got stuck at 7000rpm) and the civic type r went rocketing past me lolz

thanks for all your time in aswering my questions

i didnt retard my timing but i didnt think it was very neseccery with 65 jet is it?? also my timing hasnt been touched since i got the car, what kind of characteristics would slightly advanced timing and nitrous do anyway??

and thanks hopefully i will bleed coolant today. i checked the car and it is struggling on top revs again WITHOUT nitrous, also cars misfiring. anyone used the ZEX SPARK PLUGS how good are they???

It's your plugs, I bet when you check them they're f'd up. You went for more than one run(don't lie ). You should not be running the 65 jets without retarding the timing, or at least I don't recommend it. And you are going to have to check your plugs now and then to see if any detonation has occurred. Make sure you double check all of your lines. But basically it's your plugs, I don't recommend the zex plugs, just get NGK's that are a heat range or two colder.

retard your timing like 2 degrees and run ngk bkr7e's i run them in my turbo cars andhave run them with zex before and worked great. you will just have to replace them every 3000 miles or so and zex plugs are crap

ok then to tell u the truth i had about 4 blasts then i went on the highway to check my top speed and thats when all this happened so basically i went a bit crazy

i will check my plugs, but i am getting worried that it may be the distributor anyone know what are the characteristics of a f**ked distributor.( it will be hard to find one3 here i mean my friend has a breakers yard with 4 b16a2 all without distributors)

please let me know how i can find out if its the distributor thanks

losing top end is usually associated with running extremely rich

Take your car up on the highway and do a 3rd gear pull until you have the problem. Then push the clutch in and pull over quickly, let the car cool and pull #1 plug out. Black = rich, white/light tan = too lean. If you have either of these that is most likely your problem. If its white, look for silver specks, if you see those, wave and say hi to your piston tops.

If its white, you need more fuel and I wouldnt spray until you got that fixed, if its rich, contact Zex and ask them how to turn fueling down on their system.

With the zex kit you don't have to retard timing, it's designed so you can run stock timing and just 2 step colder plugs.

they all say that , but trust me it all depends on too many things. sometimes you will have to retard.

I bet you all a dollar that this clowns motor is blown.

"Checking my top speed" with no retarding of the timing, no fuel management... I bet his local garage loves this kid.

Make sure your not burning oil, 4 blasts in a row does a number on a engine that's not built for it. You don't have to retard the timing for the 55hp jets, but it's recommended that you go 2 degrees for every ten hp there after. You engine is prob not blown, but it's on its way if you keep using the spray!!! Like Others and I said before, check your plugs. But i think it's too late to fix your problem by adjusting the Zex kit or different plugs. Don't use it anymore, or your next post will be asking "Where can I get a swap for cheap money, or does anyone want to trade for a Zex Kit?" lol

Good luck
