HELP- Misfire on boosted b16 obd2
I just put my turbo kit on last week on my b16a2. I finally got to putting new plugs in and gaped them to .30 and retarded my timing 2degrees. I want to be on the safe side while boosting. I am now throwing a CEL for misfire on all 4 cylinders. Why and what should i do about this?
Should i put my timing back to stock and put the plugs to stock gap?
Here is my setup:
RC 310cc injectors (temporary)
DOHC greddy blue box (temporary)
turbonetics t3.t4 internally wastegated 5psi
thanks

Re: (Boondock Saint)
compression was 180 on all 4, and yes stock coil and cap
my new bosch 7553 plugs look good also
do you think the obd2 system is to sensitive to the timing change?

misfire on idle or while boosting? i had a misfire problem on my y7 on idle only on all 4 cyl and some random misfire codes were thown.. i changed all my ignition parts and that didnt work. it turned out to be my 6 month old lucas 440cc injectors..
good luck

Re: (konigturbocivic)
my car is still misfiring and doesnt feel to be pulling that hard. yet i still have compression 180 across the board.
Should i but my timing back to stock and/or regap my plugs to around .35 or stock?

Ive herd** (not sure of the validity of what I read) that you cant change the timming @ the dizzy on obd2 cause the ECU will change it back.... So maybe thats why? Change your timming back and reset the ECU and see what happends... Check all your wire connections and also throw in the stock 240s if you can iron it out and see what happends...
