I'm installing a little bit of my drag3 turbo kit. I'm having troubles putting some of the bolts in that hold the manifold to the head. Also the bold that goes between the 2nd and 3rd runner will not even fit in there to get started. What do I do?
use one finger from each hand..
use one to hold the top part of the nut, and use the other one to hold the bototm part...
and twist it...
it'll work...worst comes to worst, you can dremmel the manifold part just a tad, the manifold is pretty thick...

i left the third lower runner bolt off, i couldnt get it, i also couldn't use my dipstick at all, there was no room.........
I dremeled away part of the manifold to clear the dipstick. Works fine. The manifold is really thick.
About the bolt, you can also cut some threads off of the bolt so its shorter. Do that, then clean the threads and you can probably fit it in that way.

I'm not absolutely sure what you did, but I bet that you tightened some of the other bolts before starting all of them. If you loosen the bolts and get them all started first, you should have no problems... That is unless you have had the head milled. Sometimes the DRAG mani's get stuck on the block and don't pull up to the head. If this is the case, you will need to remove some material from the block or manifold in those areas. Be careful and always cover the exhaust ports with duct tape.

I'm thinking the only way I can get that bolt in there is if I cut about 1/4" inch off of it to make it shorter, or if I pull the manifold now and put some studs in there and just use some nuts.

If you are having problems getting the bolt through the hole in the manifold, you *can* install a stud there. You do not need to install studs in *all* of the holes though.
