HELP HELP ... I need help with ECG SMC PLUS...
Hi, I bought a SMC plus about a month ago (montreal) and now I have pain to set it up. At idle, my check engine light is on (the green wire is not grounded) and the engine is very very very rought. When I hit the street on 3rd, it really suck, car is choking from 2000 o 4000 rpm, never tried to go further. The car engine is a 1999 B18b non vtec with DSM obd1 injectors 450cc. Can you tell me or give me an example of correction point at each rpm, just something so I can see a little bit how to go toward the settings. When it says -40%, what does it really mean, 450cc -40% = xxx cc or what ???
Thanks
Thanks
First of all the 1999 integras come with Hi impedence injecotrs.. i think you need to put a resistor pack. Did you get the 8 unit SMC or the 4 unit..?? Most or all wires recommended by SMC should be wired up correctly double check evertyhing .. you got nothing to lose but time..
any SMC users give this gentleman a hand..????

I got 10ohm 10watts resistor hooked up on the negative of each resistor. So those are ok. All the wire on the SMC are hookedup properly , leaving the green one apart (unplug), as they mention in the book. I really really really need help!

The reason your **** is bogging is because it isn't tuned. Try different extremes to see what happens. I had to work at each rpm range in order for it to redline. I have mine set in the 40%s. idle is 49% and 7-8 is 40%. This was with a wide band and it sat in the mid 11's A/F. So that meant it was on the rich side!
i will say it again as I have told many people....TUNING tuning tuning...its not going to magically know how your car runs out of the box

good luck with it!
