The 55m GT30R is good for just over 500hp. A bit more can be eeked out of it, but you'll need some serious support to run that kind of power. I didn't know there was such thing as an M24 GT30r but I guess you learn something every day. GT series Garrett ftmfw though, that's a good turbo for a decently high hp set-up.

I've seen Garrett DBB turbos that didn't have an R on the compressor housing. Actually, I think it's really common. From my experience with DBB (the only one I've ever owned was a Forced Performance 3065) is that they have what would be considered a lot of shaft play compared to a standard bushing turbo even when they're brand new, and that the compressor and turbine wheels are incredibly easy to spin, definitly noticeable over an S.B. turbo.

If all else fails and you can't identify it by the numbers, pop the compressor housing off, loosen the shaft nut and you'll have your answer as soon as you take a peak in the center section. If you're running the turbo it's really easy to tell when it's dbb. It sounds like a semi truck when it spools and even after you shut off the motor and the car is parked you can still hear the compressor wheel spinning. DBB FTMFW!
