help, fuel line headache
ok, driving back home i look at the a/f gauge and notice that something is wrong since it's going lean when i hit the gas. pull off the side of the road and open the hood to find that the fuel line from the fmu to the driver side part of the fuel rail burst open. figured i could just get a new hose so i got a hose, which is a little longer than the one that it replaced, and put everything back together. now, no more spewing fuel, but the a/f gauge doesn't read anything. initially, it worked fine, but 5mins later a/f went blank like when you let off the gas and when i hit the gas a few leds of the lean come on, but nothing more. also, when i start the car, rather then the leds cycling back and forth, it stays in the last lean led or the first stoich led. any ideas or suggestions so i can get my car back on the road

First thing I would do is an ECU reset just in case your computer freaked out at the sudden loss of fuel pressure. Aside from that the only thing I can think of is maybe you got some foreign debris from the blown line clogging your fpr or something... hard to say.

well i reset the ecu before i started it yesterday and initially it worked fine. i was able to drive to the gym and thought everything was ok, but on the drive back home it started going into the problems i was describing. the a/f doesn't sweep back and forth anymore and when i give it gas i get a few leds in the lean

i would check your fuel pump. I had the same thing when i put my DRAG kit in. Something was wrong with the Airtex pump. I took it out and everything was fine.
