HELP! cylinder full of gas!
as the topic says,i've got a #2 cylinder full of gas, i've already replaced injector, and it is still filling up with gas. with spark plugs out and cranking motor over it blows gas atleast 10 feet up in the air. this is with the distributor unplugged and the injector unplugged, how is this possible? BTW its a 91 civic, b16, turbo, stock injectors, FMU, weapon r FPR, and inline pump. thanks for any help or comments.

Re: HELP! cylinder full of gas! (b18bturbo)
or if you have swapped injectors and it still does it.. the injector is grounding out or you are not getting spark to that cylinder. Possible solution: First make sure you are getting spark. If so than double check the wiring from that particilar injector wiring harness for any signs of grounding from the injector to the ecu. If not then swap out you ecu, injector driver has taken a ****. Best thing to do is try a different ecu than to try and chase down a wire.

Re: HELP! cylinder full of gas! (my91civic)
if you replace the injector and get it fixed make sure you dry out all the gas. you probably washed the cylinder and will not get any compression in that one so to be safe you might want to put a teaspoon of oil down it and let it sit to recoat the cylinder walls. when you crank it it wall smoke like a ****, but you will be running on all cylinders. take out your injector and take a 9 volt and make some leads and touch the contacts on the injector to see if it clicks open. if it's doing the same thing to a different injector it sounds like a wiring problem or ecu problem or both.

Re: HELP! cylinder full of gas! (GSRev)
how could it be grounding out if it does it with the injector unplugged from the harness? it shouldn't be getting any signal from the ecu at all right?

I had the same thing happen to me on my car. When I soldered the 100+ wires underneath my hood, I got the red injector wire crossed with the red alternator wire and it cause it ground out and stay open and my engine flooded like crazy. Try putting the #2 injector in the #3 socket and seeing if it does the same thing in cylinder 3. if so, you know you have a injector problem.

Re: HELP! cylinder full of gas! (Type-GS-R-Turbo)
but its not like i just wired the car up or anything, it just started doing it all of a sudden. and like i said i replaced the injector and it still does the same thing with only the fuel rail hooked to the injector.
