Default Help with custom filter...fitment question

okay, this is my custom extension



the diameter of the duct is exactly 3"
so if i get a custom filter from K&N , what INNER DIAMTER should i be getting?
3 1/4? 3 1/2?? im not sure, suggest whatever you think will work or has worked for you.

3" ID filter fits 3" OD pipe. I don't think you could clamp a filter to that dryer vent hose. It will crush if you don't put a reinforcing ring at the top.

Have a muffler shop bend you an "S" filter pipe...or order one from Rev Hard....I believe they are around $100 bucks...

You know you don't have to have a piping that large just for an intake....Be logical here... 2.5" or 3" piping is adequate enough.

umm, what do you mean i dont have to have piping that large? the compressor is 3" in diamter, so why would it be dumb to get a 3" duct to extend from the turbo?

I say stick with 3" no smaller, but make sure it is gonna work right. The flexy dryer vent could work but you will need to reinforce it where the filter attaches and it will look kinda ghetto to some people. Form over function, so screw what it looks like IMO
