Help with APEXI filter (no adaptor????) (pics inside)
How would someone mount this on there turbo or even an intake?
I bought it a while back thinking that it was gonna be like a regular
filter with the rubber 'adaptor' piece so i could clamp it.

Re: (igo4bmx)
I have the same thing except mine's a K&N. On the bottom it's not just open, there's a flat plastic plate with a square in the middle.

Do the rubber plumbing thing. You need to fab up your own bracket or what not to make it fit your turbo or your intake pipe.

I had the same problem, but solved it by getting a cheap filter off ebay with an adapter that is for cars with a mass air flow sensor. You just have to redrill the mounting holes in the flange and then attach it to a turbo or intake with a silicone connector. I believe the one I bid on was for a Miata. Cost @20.00shipped.

Re: Help with APEXI filter (-iLLuZioN-B18C1)
i used an old intake filter as an adapter to save money.
what i did was:
1) cut the actual filter off an old intake filter. ( so now all you have is the metal plate and the rubber that comes with that intake filter.)
2) place the blue gasket you want to use over the flat metal piece of your old intake filter, and mark the holes.( i used the 4 bolt one)
3) drill the holes big enough for the supplied screws/bolts.
4) mount everything together, and screw in the screws/bolts.
5) fill up the edge where the apexi filter, and the metal plate connects with water resistent adhesive.
6) now all you have is your apexi filter mounted on the bottom half of your old intake filter, with the rubber piece so you can clamp it onto your pipe.
dont laugh at the electrical tape, i didnt have a clamp big enough at the time.

Re: Help with APEXI filter (-iLLuZioN-B18C1)
ATP Turbo sells all kinds of adapters. I ordered a 2.5-3.0 adapter since my intake on my turbo is only 2.5". It was @17.00 dollars.

Re: Help with APEXI filter (95excoupe)
95excoupe,
It is not about increasing horsepower, but rather helping increase engine and turbo life. The Gredy filter has been proven to be garbage and the Apexi is one of the best on the market right now.
