Helicoil gone bad!
About a week ago I got my car back from the shop. Everything was good. All of a sutton after drive it for about 400 mile over a course of two days I smelt antifreeze and seen white smoke . I take it back to the shop they say the head gasket went. But after they took every thing apart; one of the helicoils in the block come up. They say from high boost!
What should I do? Help me out!

Hmm.. Not too sure on that one then.. Maybe you could jump up to a bigger head bolt and just get the block retapped and the hole in the head opened up..
Who put the helicoil into the block?

Go with time-serts. You are going to have to be careful about drilling the block. If you don't have a heavy duty drill press I'd have a machine shop do it. With the time serts you'll need to have "lip" for the time-sert to sit on. They will not back out on you. Honestly for the money you might be better off with another block. A time-sert set is around 55.00 plus the machine work. A bare block plus machining may be cheaper.
