Default heat reated mis, bout to sell my car, help me please!!!

Some of you prolly have read my other thread about this. But ive narrowed it down to this situation.

When its a nice cool night and the car has been sitting for a while it runs like a top. Pulls hard and no mis. But if its a hot day and getting hotter, the car mis' so bad its like a rev limiter is set at like 5500-6000rpm. Ive watched all the data while cruisin around and nothin changes, Its got around 88-91* IAT temps and 194* ECT. The car used to run perfect all the time wether it was 100* or 50* outside. Ive tried 2 completely distributors and checked the coils in both and both check out good. It definatly feels like a spark issue. Ive changed the alternator. Ive tried just about everything. I cant think of anything else. Someone please help me lol!

setup is:

AEBS closed deck 83mm b18a
Ross 9.5 pistons
Pauter rods
Cometic .030 head gasket
GSR head
Full Brian Crower valve train
Skunk 2 Pro 1 cams
ARP headstuds TQ'd to 85ft/lbs
Timing on the map is very safe
NGK BKR7E plugs gapped at .022
AFR in boost is 11.5-11.9
This is all on pump gas
motorola 2.5 bar map

It compression tests 160 across the board and leakdown shows less than 4%

Ive tried everything electrical. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, igniter, then the whole dizzy. I thought it might have been a fuel issue, so i had the injectors flowed and cleaned. Injectors are within 4% of each other. Put on a new aeromotive A1000 fuel pressure regulator. New walbro 255 fuel pump, new filter. Nothing changes.

if you think its a heat related issue, why not swap out the coolant temp sensor and the iat sensor...see if 1 of those 2 are putting out false readings....either 1 of those could mess with your temp trims and cause issues. it is most likely something your overlooking or something your taking for granted that is working correctly.

Ive had 3 different sets of new plugs in there gapped all the way down to .018" nothing ever changes. Ive looked at the datalogs from when it was running fine and now and nothing has changed between the IAT and the ECT.

if the dataloggs are the same before, and during the issue...i would say its something mechanical.

is your fuel pump overheating and your dropping fuel pressure?

Ive added new grounds and put in a new Walbro 255 HO fuel pump. Ive moved to boost cut out for more PSI and still the same. Its heat related.

Jut put in an IAT and ECT sensor, still the same. Went from a Motorola 2.5 bar map sensor to a GM 3 bar, still the same.

NOO....the IAT is always around 88-95 at most...the ECT is 194*.

So i turned off VTEC and the car pulled all the way through with no missing. But its still a heat issue cause when its first warmed up or a nice cool night, the car doesnt miss a beat. Its just the longer you drive it and the warmer the oil or coolant or engine bay temps get, it gets worse and worse. Ive messed around with everything in Crome and nothing ever changes.

Mine did this too....

Do you have a custom/modified engine harness? With mine it was an interferance in the distributor wiring and didn't matter what distributor I was using.... MSD billet, OEM, etc....

I had an issue like this and it happened to be my 3-bar plug that was causing it. only happened sometimes, but it was annoying. it would not happen all the time, just when things got a little hot. definately check your wiring to your map and grounds like others mentioned.

seems like you got a little ahead of yourself spending money on things right away. always check the small things first.

Ive checked and added mulitple ground. I rewired in a GM 3 bar map sensor. My VTEC wires are run straight to the computer. Not getting any CEL's.

The car was on the same tune for over 3 months when this started happening.

Just tried another ECU.

Its just weird that when i turn VTEC off it runs fine. I can hear everything change over but it just runs like **** when VTEC is on. Ive tried a completely different tune. stil the same.

I talked to Reid at Kaizenspeed and hes pretty stumped too. Im looking at oiling problems right now. Is there a possibilty of something goin wrong with the solenoid itself? I dont have another one of those to try.

i just had the head off cause i originaly thought it was a headgasket issue. Took it to a machine shop and they said it was still perfect. The head was rebuilt from valves up less than 2k miles ago.

Pulled the solenoid off, and there was crap all over the screen. Cleaned it off and changed the line from a -4 to a -6 and now its throwin code 21 and no VTEC. So i guess maybe its time to pull the head apart and start tryin to figure out what the deal is. Ima try another solenoid.

Maybe it's an oil pressure problem. Once the car heats up the pressure drops, so vtec doesn't engagel properly. Maybe the rockers aren't functioning properly for vtec.
