Default Heading to the track this weekend...question

Sup guys, I'm heading to the track this weekend and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to temporarily help my traction problems. I'm putting down about 280hp to the wheels and I have regular street tires and 100% stock suspension. I know some people lower the air pressure in their tires but I'm not sure thats really gonna help on regular tires. I've also heard about people inserting rubber spacers in their rear springs to help keep the car from lifting in the front. Would this be something worth doing or should I just say **** it and go out there and see what I can do.

believe it or not, those spacers did wonders for my rear...i was launching of 15" slicks and before i put those spacers on my rear was bounching through the 1st hundred feet or so. I put 2 gappers on each spring. When i was on 15" SI's i had huge traction problems. I was able to get the 2.3 60 foot's down to a 2.1 by lowering my air pressure to around 25psi if i'm not mistaken...GL, ohh and if you're in the NW florida area, come on by...you can borrow my slicks!

i run 15" slicks too and get 1.90-2.0 60 foots at 15psi in the tires. i run a b16 with greddy GSR turbo kit @7 psi. and i thought our track sucked...
