Default Headgasket Question?

is it true that you can lower the compression on an engine by putting in a thicker headgasket. If so im running at 6lbs of boost. How much more boost would i be able to run. And at where could i get the gasket.!

Dont Mind the newby question..!

it is true. you will hear most people prefer going w/ stock headgasket w/ pistons and rods, but there are plenty of people running one bar w/ a thicker headgasket. u can buy inlinepro or the cometic one.

I bought my Cometics MLS headgasket from Race Engineering. They are out of Florida and they usually keep these in stock for Honda engines.

Ive never seen or installed a aftermarket thicker head gasket yet, But Ive done up to 11psi on a stock b16 motor on pump gas with Hondata and it held up fine. Just be conservitive with timing up there. Good luck.
