Default headgasket question????

i gotta replace my head gastket on my car.......im running a 81.5 bore.....the last headgasket i used was a stock gsr one(81mm..correct me if im wrong).........

is this not good to use the stock bore gasket...if im running just a little bigger bore.....im wondering if that could have been the problem i ran into with the old one........

if i do need a special headgasket for that bore....can someone please guide me in the right direction as far as company or maybe online shop

all feedback will greatly appreciated

You can buy overbored OEM headgaskets from Race Engineering or Golden Eagle. .

Get your head milled just a little. Get a 20over headgasket and put it back on. Im pretty sure that was your problem. If you don't got ARP headbolts.. i suggest you get those too. Goodluck.

Milled just incase it warped. If milled just mill it a little. It will flatten the surface and not higher your compression. Only way to higher compression is if you mill it like .020

The stock gasket was designed to handle from the stock 81 mm bore up to 81.5 mm . A stock gasket would be fine for your application. If you need, we have them in stock and ready to ship. Check out our online store at http://www.goldeneaglemfg.com Hope this helps.
